1.  1-2-1 Home Support

 

Are you interested in empowering people to make decisions about their home and wellbeing?  Do you have a passion for supporting vulnerable adults who may be anxious and worried ?  Would you be happy to visit clients in their homes ?

 

If so the 1-2-1 Home Support role provides a rewarding and diverse opportunity to make a difference.

2.  Marketing and Communications

 

We are looking for individuals who are keen public speakers, to help us promote WE Care & Repair and raise awareness of the support we offer at events, talks and through e-newsletters.

 

This is an excellent opportunity for confident individuals who are passionate about postively representing the organisation and spreading the message of our work to help vulnerable people to access support.

3. Supporting people with 'hoarding' behaviours

 

Do you have an interest in supporting people with complex needs?  Are you happy to provide ongoing help to an individual?

The Making Space project, which empowers people to understand why they gather possessions and why it's challenging to let go of these, provides a rewarding and innovative opportunity for individuals who are not afraid of a challenge.  The aim of the project is to help our clients make space, not only in their homes but also their lives and minds.

4. Information gathering for fundraising

 

We need dynamic individuals who enjoy interacting with people to support our Casework team with gathering information for fundraising applications.  A crucial part of the Caseworker's role is to fundraise money for our clients who are on a low income.  The money is used to fund essential repairs and adaptations around the home.

5. Home Choice Bidder  -   VOLUNTEER ALREADY FOUND

 

This is an exciting new role which has been developed to support our 'Housing Options' team.  We are appealing to organised, committed and keen individuals to work in liaison with Caseworkers, check the 'Home Choice' website and bid for properties on behalf of our clients.

 

Home Choice Bidder volunteers will make a valuable difference to the lives of our clients by finding appropriate homes that meet our clients individual needs.  

6. Equipment Demonstration Centre Support

 

Are you a warm and enthusiastic person?  Do you enjoy meeting members of the public and like to make people feel welcome ?

 

Our Equipment Demonstration Centre in Weston-super-Mare is in need of volunteers to help greet customers, offer a drink and cover the reception desk over the lunch period.  An engaging and social role, this opportunity is perfect for volunteers who enjoy interacting with people.

7. Administration Support

 

Another exciting new voluntary role, WE Care & Repair are recruiting for individuals who can support the core functions of the organisation.  This is a varied and proactive role offering the opportunity to support our Casework, Customer Service and Information & Advice teams.  We are looking for volunteers to work from both our Bristol and Weston-super-Mare offices.  Weston Super Mare position now filled.

8. Handyperson Support

 

Do you have an interest in DIY or dont mind pulling up their sleeves to get your hands dirty?  We are appealing to versatile and caring individuals to accompany our Handyperson Team, on specific jobs which require the support of two people.
