This privacy policy aims to help you understand how we collect, use and protect your personal data in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1988 and forthcoming General Data Protection Regulations.

Who we are:

WE Care & Repair Ltd is a not for profit Home Improvement Agency.  It is a Registered Society, under the Cooperative and Community Benefit Societies Act 2014 and has charitable status (Registered Number 25479R).  

We also trade as WE Care & Repair Enterprises Ltd (Company Registration Number 08043967).

Our purpose is to provide services to enable older or disabled people to remain living safely and independently in their own homes.

What information we collect:

We collect your personal data as part of providing our services to you.  Information you give to WE Care & Repair Ltd, by any method, will only be used by us to provide our services to you and to enable the third parties we work with to provide services to you in support of our service.

 

Examples of information we collect:

 

Personal Data in order to carry out the service you requested: Name, address, Phone, Email or other contact details .

Date of birth in some circumstances to assess eligibility for some services.

 

Sensitive Data if you choose, or are eligible, to access our partnership schemes for funding the works - Armed Services History, Income, Disability and/or Health history.

 

Anonymous equalities information to fulfill our Commissioner's requirements.

 

Transaction details for payment processing.  We use a secure online payment processor which is PCI compliant and we do not store or have access to individual card details, after the initial processing.

When we collect information:

We will ask you for your data when you first contact us and aske for one of our services or purchase any of our products.  If your details change during the course of our service please let us know so we can amend our records.

 

We may also accept information about you from professionals referring into our services on your behalf.  We rely on our partners to have obtained your consent for this before we get involved.

What we use your data for :

We use your data for managing and fulfilling our services to you.

 

Some of our services are funded by other organisations and if you use this service, some of your information will be passed onto our partner organisations in order to obtain the service.  You can let us know if you don't want to give us this information or be part of this service and wish to pay for the services yourself.

 

Information that we share with our commissioners and partner organisations will only be the information that is strictly necessary in order to provide the service or funding that you requested or report on the service provided.

 

We are commissioned by Local Authorities and work closely with Health, Community & Voluntary or Charitable organisations, such as, but not exclusively, Bristol City Council, Gloucestershire Council, Bath & NE Somerset Council, United Bristol Healthcare Trust, North Bristol Healthcare Trust, Wessex Resolutions CIC, The Dunhill Medical Trust, Virgin Care, The Royal British Legion and many others.

 

Whoever you contact at WE Care & Repair Ltd looks at your service provision on an individual basis, and will always inform you if you are eligible, or we intend to pass information, to a third party.  Our services are tailored to individual circumstances and services, any data we collect is never stored or processed except for providing the services.  We will not disclose or sell your information on where it is not relevant to a service provision.  You may amend your information and choice of services at any time.

 

We also work with our trusted contractors (external contractors) on your behalf and we need to pass certain contact and works information to these contractors for the purpose of obtaining quotes and getting work done in your property.

 

We will only contact you with regard to carrying out our services or evaluating our services.  Responses to our satisfaction surveys are anonymised and equalities data is collected completely anonymously and no individual can be identified. We keep our design and financial records for 6 years in line with industry standards.  These are kept securely archived.

 

Marketing communications are only sent to those people who have opted in and signed up to our mailing list.

What data our website collects automatically:

When you visit our website, you will have the choice of accepting or declining cookies.  We use cookies to automatically collect web visitor information, both from our website and also third party applications, like Google Analytics.  This information helps us track and analyse our web visitors, and may contain information such as your browser type, IP address, which pages you visit, or which buttons you click on, across our website.  

What information you can choose to provide to our website :

If you use our contact form, please only provide the information that is necessary in order for us to reply to your enquiry.  Never put confidential information like card details into the contact us form.

We provide links to other websites for your information and interest, but we have no control over these other websites.  We recommend that you check the privacy statements of any third party website which you navigate to and decide to enter personal information into.

How you can manage, amend or delete your information:

Any information that we collect is stored and processed under our Data Protection Policy, in line with the Data Protection Act 1988, and will be GDPR complaint too.

 

You may request a copy of the data we hold about you by making a subject access request.  Please contact us for further information.

 

If you subscribe to our email newsletter, you can always update your information, change your marketing preferences or unsubscribe at any time using the links at the bottom of the email newsletter.

 

You can ask us to amend, update or delete any information we hold about you.  Where you ask us to delete your information, this may mean that we can no longer provide any service that we are currently providing to you.
